Foundering of the Cuban in the Atlantic (19th century)


The  Cuban was a small steamergoing from Port Morris to Cuba with Cuban revolutionists and a full cargo of arms and ammunitions.

She had also on board, a large sum of money, several thousands of dollars which went down with the vessel 50 miles off the Jersey coast. Nothing could be saved.
