ROPOS ROV Neptune Canada Deployment Deck Operations - RV Thomas G. Thompson

In August and September of 2009 the Remotely Operated Vehicle ROV ROPOS was deployed aboard the University of Washington's research vessel RV Thomas G. Thompson carrying out extensive surveying, cable laying and installation of subsea nodes and instrument platforms for the Neptune Canada Cabled Ocean Observatory. This video shows deck operations during recovery of the Ultra Short Baseline navigation system which is deployed on a long pole over the ship side.
