Shipwreck Dentistry
Maritime archaeology isn't always about finding interesting artifacts on underwater shipwrecks. It also requires a significant change in lifestyle for those doing the work. Living far from land for weeks, or even months, at a time, the crew on the St. Johns Bahamas shipwreck project had to make do with what was available onboard the research vessel. Here, in a case of emergency dentistry, the captain of the Beta replaces a broken crown with a popular marine adhesive. (Do not try this at home: It isn't safe!)
